So, here’s the final recap. The show was great. I did some things that no one expected.

No one expected me to be fixing problems there. Even though people came to me for help with their problems, most expected a fluff massage.

No on expected the Lomi Lomi moves. This makes sense as most people don’t know what it is, and I am the only one in town doing it.

Another thing is that no one expected me to have the word ‘Reiki’ displayed so prominently. This is, after all, part of the bible belt. All too many don’t understand things like this here. There are a lot of people that do Reiki, and some work out of storefronts like I do, but the word is not very prominently displayed.

I went into a major shopping mall and put up my 6-foot high three sided sign that had

Caring Palms

Massage and Reiki

displayed at the top of each side. That opened a lot of eyes, and brought me a lot of questions on what it is and how it works. It also brought me potential students and clients. A couple people came by and told me that they have been looking for someone that does Reiki, and just have not been able to find anyone. Then this weekend, they come into a shopping mall and see the word displayed prominently. They were thrilled.

The show was a success on many levels. It got my name out into the public. It gave me a chance to show what I can do by working on people for a short period of time. It allowed me to talk with people, and come across as knowledgeable. It got me out into crowds, and prove that I could do good work there. It proved I could do this type of show. But, the overall test of if it was a success will be how many calls I get for sessions, and if I make up the money I put out to be there.

So in the final recap, I am sitting here with possibilities. I sold nothing , and actually came home with less money because I bought food and drink while there on those 11+ hour days. But I could get a lot of people calling me. There were at least three interested in Reiki sessions. There were about six interested in Reiki classes. All in all, not a bad tally.
