A friend called this morning whom I had not heard from in a very long time.  In fact, it was the friend that originally introduced me to Reiki.  She had a healing request.

She has this 16-year old dog, a wolf / husky mix named Asimov.  He is having some type of kidney issues.  They are hoping that he will pull through this.  If he does, it will give him another two to three years more of life (and his life is good).  If he does not, his expectancy is about another two to three months.  She also had another healing request.

She has been suffering from some chronic (ongoing) cough that she can’t shake.  So she asked for help for Azzy’ and for herself.

Now, I’m never one to turn down a request, especially since it just takes a few minutes to deliver healing energy in some form (Reiki, white light, Lamphere).  But I thought it unusual for her to single me out, especially since I had not heard from her in so long.  Then she told me a story.

She remembers the last time she asked me for healing energy for someone (and it has been several years).  This was a friend of hers that was getting ready to undergo an operation.  The doctors did not expect him to survive the operation.  If he did survive it, they did not expect him to live very long.  She called me and asked for help.  (I’m glad she remembers it because I certainly don’t.)  I had sent some energy to her friend.  Not only did he survive the operation, he is still alive today.  Wow.

Now, I don’t know that the contribution I gave was all that spectacular, but apparently, it helped to some extent.  There are so many factors involved that one can’t say this was the one thing that did the trick.  My friend obviously thought that this was the key that pulled it all together.  If it was, great.  If not, then it was a part.

And the funny thing is that this is the first feedback I have had on it.  and no, I still can’t remember.  It is nice to hear that something you did helped someone else, even if it does come years later.
