Raindrop Technique

Inspired by the Raindrop Technique Protocal, the Essential Oil Drop Therapy combines unique, targeted massage and energy approaches with pure, authentic essential oils for a deeply harmonizing, rejuvenating, and relaxing experience. As a Young Living independent distributor, and using Young Living essential oils, Caring Palms’ Essential Oil Drop Therapy provides a revolutionary means of nurturing harmony-physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Initially, the client will lay face up while the therapist touches their feet and connects to them energetically. Through this process, the therapist will assess the client, being drawn to areas that need help. This knowledge will help determine what oils are needed later. Once this scan has been completed, the client will turn face down so the actual treatment can begin.

Initially, coconut oil is applied to the back, sides, shoulders, and neck. Next, drops of each of the essential oils in the basic package (done one at a time, and worked in one at a time) are placed on the low back (lumbar/sacral area) and the upper back (between the shoulder blades). The oil is then spread over the spine from the low back to the neck with the fingertips. (The spine connects to all parts of the body as all messages to and from the brain are transmitted along this pathway. By working the oils into the spine, they also connect to anywhere in the body.) Then the hands are used to spread the oil over the entire back, sides, shoulders, and neck. This process is repeated for each of the nine oils in the basic package.

If it is felt that additional oils are needed, they are added at this point with the same procedure that was used to apply the basic package oils. These “extra” oils are determined by the client’s needs, or by what is going on in them.

Now, the client is turned face up so the therapist can work on the feet. Just as with the back, coconut oil is spread over the feet. Next, two drops of each essential oil (one at a time) is worked into the bottom of each foot. The primary focus is along the instep of each foot as those are the Reflexology points that correspond to the spine in the back. Essentially, the oil getting applied to this area of the feet is still being worked into the spine. (Just as with the back, each oil in the basic package is applied, and additional ones applied if needed.)

Once all the oils are applied, the feet are stretched, and the head and neck are stretched. Finally, the therapist reconnects with the feet to again, energetically assess the client, seeing what changes have been made, and what others are still there. Then the therapist will withdraw and disconnect from the client.

While this might be considered massage, not a lot of pressure is used as it is the oils that do the work, not the motions. After a treatment, it is recommended that the client drink water. As with most types of massage/healing work, toxins are released and need to be flushed from the body. Drinking water does this as the water goes through the system and the toxins are flushed out in the urine.

Many people notice changes right away, others over a couple of days. It is the purity of the oils that work into the body that encourage change, and that change can be physical, or emotional. While it is not your typical massage, it is a very relaxing experience.

The basic kit includes nine (9) essential oils, two of which are blends (a combination of oils). They are Valor (which contains Spruce, Rosewood, Blue Tansy, and Frankincense), Thyme, Oregano, Cypress, Basil, Peppermint, Marjoram, and Aroma Seiz (which contains Basil, Marjoram, Lavender, Peppermint, and Cypress). While each oil can have specific purposes, the combination of the basic package is a well-rounded treatment for everyone. There are other oils that can be used based on someone’s needs, and every therapist’s “kit” is going to be different. Caring Palms’ kit includes blends like Stress Away, Release, Joy, and RC as well as single oils like Frankincense, Helichrysum, Ledum, Lemon, Eucalyptus, and Tangerine.

For this treatment, Caring Palms uses only Young Living essential oils because of the purity and effectiveness of them.

The client needs to let the therapist know of any allergies prior to beginning the Essential Oil Drop Therapy treatment.
