So, who believes in miracles? Do miracles happen? If they do, why don't they happen to us? Is it because we don't notice, or because we don't let them happen?

For a long time now, I've seen Reiki (and other energy modalities) do some pretty spectacular things. I've seen it take away pain, end problems, even remove a person's limitations allowing them to move forward. This is a miraculous thing, to see problems resolved just by placing one's hands on another.

I can actually cite some cases that I was involved in where the result was phenomenal.

One lady that came to one of the psychic fairs was having trouble walking. Not having any massage customers, I worked on her in the 'waiting room'. Before long, she had no pain, and was able to walk straight and confidently.

A lady I worked on in May told me how much stronger and balanced she felt afterwards. She had been through a number of surgeries, and had numerous scars. I had done scar release and Reiki. Just recently, she told me that she has had a swollen ankle forever practically, but now it is down to normal. She is attributing this to the work I did.

A lady in Miami had a problem that was pointed out to her by a psychic. I reached out and cleared her problem. She felt me do it, and was instantly better.

These are miraculous enough, but then I hear stories from other practitioners.

A new practitioner in South Carolina who took classes from a local instructor (she almost trekked all the way down to take classes from me), cleared herself of problems she had been having for years. Yes, instantly.

A Reiki master from Miami area had been looking at getting Lasik surgery for her eyes as they kept getting worse. She kept doing Reiki on herself, and her eyesight improved. In fact it improved so much that she doesn't need glasses anymore.

So, miracles do happen. Why don't they happen to me? Or better put, why don't they happen to everyone?

Well, I guess the first question that needs to be asked is, do we really want miracles to happen? We might think we do, but maybe we don't. One of the things Dr. Usui found when he worked on people in the street, was that they always came back. He would release their problem, but it would be back the next day. What he realized was that people hold onto their problems. They define themselves as having problems. He could take away the problem, but it would come back because the subject would bring it back. (This is why he stated charging for his services. He felt that if people paid for what he did, they would have more respect for it, and value it more. If they valued it because of the cost, then they would not bring back the problem.)

So if we're not bringing our problems back, why do we still have problems? Do we have enough faith that miracles can happen to us? Do we allow miracles to happen to us? Many times our problems stem from something that happened in our past, or even past lives. Sometimes we are just not ready to give up on having problems. Or maybe we just need to release them in a different way, or go through some process. Maybe this process is something we find easier to believe will work.

I was told at one time that any problem we have can be healed instantly because God has the ability to do that if we let him/her/it. And the only reason that doesn't happen is because we block it. We don't allow it to happen. We don't truly believe (or have faith) that it can. Sometimes finding that faith takes some convincing. And I'm a good one to point to.

For the longest time, I have felt that I am not worthy of many things, particularly the praise that others give me when I heal them. After all, it is not me doing the work, and what part of it I figure out to do, I am being guided. Of course it was pointed out to me that I was refusing God's love. Huh?  How can I be doing that I asked. Everyone's love is an extension of God's love. By refusing it, I am refusing God's love. Oook.

So what is the mental adjustment that is needed? Believing that you truly want to be rid of your problem. Believing that you deserve to be healed. You deserve good things happening to you. You deserve to be loved and happy.

Sometimes this takes a big step. As I always said, I can do wondrous things for others, but I have trouble with 'healer heal thyself'. Now its time to change that, not just for me, but for everyone. We deserve to be healed. We deserve to be happy. It will happen.

Miracles do happen, and they will happen to us. I believe. Do you?
