I came to a decision the other day. I decided that I would stop separating my two major pieces of business.
I started with Reiki, and then added massage once I got licensed. The plan was to run everything under my massage license, which I have been doing. (But I still hold a separate occupational license for Reiki in case someone wants to try to push the 'Reiki is massage' thing. But, I have been reluctant to bring Reiki fully into the massage side because I've been concerned about losing massage business because some people would be afraid of the energy work.
Well, I finally decided to stop working from fear. From this moment on, the business is no longer Caring Palms Massage and Caring Palms Reiki. I have decided not to fear. If someone doesn’t want to get massage because I do Reiki, well, too bad for them. I will be changing the Reiki site to reflect that it is part of Caring Palms, and making the massage site more expressive.
From this moment on the company name remains Caring Palms, but it will be Caring Palms Massage and Reiki. So, now I can add changing all forms and letterhead to match to my list of tasks.
