I taught an interesting Reiki 1 class today. This is not to say that all my classes aren't interesting, but this one had some challenges.

First off, this class started out to be three people, then four people, then two. We had scheduled the class late as one of the people coming had to work until mid afternoon. I had asked another student to come help out as I needed an even number. Then another person called and asked to be included. Then the next day, their car broke down and they didn't have the money. Then the day before, I talked with the one student who we had set late times for, and he told me his family was taking him out of town for the weekend for Valentine's Day. So, I was down to two, and one helper.

My two new students were a husband and wife. The husband was large, and I had to ask what he weighed. He was 340 pounds. This only concerned me because my massage table is rated at 300 pounds with 100 pounds of pressure. I really didn't want him getting hurt if the table couldn't hold him. So, having a helper was a good thing.

When we got to the 'healing others' section, the woman worked on my helper, and then her husband worked on her. It also was good because of when we did scanning. Since they were married, they knew each others problems all too well. Having another 'body' there was most helpful.

Even though I wasn't willing to risk getting the one person on the table, I wanted him to get a Reiki treatment, and I didn't want his wife being uncomfortable working from the floor (if one is uncomfortable, Reiki does not flow easily). So, I had him lay down, and I gave him a full treatment. He enjoyed it. Actually, they all enjoyed the class, and they all got a healing.

My students didn't as a lot of questions, but seemed to pick up on everything very well. All in all, it was a very good class.
