As a Reiki master, I get requests for distant healing all the time. Many come from friends. Many more come from friends that are in groups. For instance, people requesting healing will send to the Gainesville Reiki group. Dee will compile these, and send them out to her the practitioners that are on her mailing list.

Usually, I take the time to send something, sometimes I don't. I know that the response of most Reiki masters is usually that they are putting the person in nee on their prayer list. (A prayer is healing energy just as Reiki is.) Others do regular distant healings and simply and this person to their list. If I don't have time at all, I'll just send a healing wish. (I'll reference my journal post February 9, 2001 if you need more explanation. ) I usually don't have time to do a regular routine as many do. What I have time to do, is to reach out and send healing energy to the person that the request is being made for. This is not Reiki, but it is healing light energy.

Usually, when I do this, I can get a feel for what is going on, and I can sometimes make specific adjustments in the energy that I am sending to work on the specific problem. I'll generally reply to the sender and let them know what I did, and what I found out.

One time, I saw how the energy was moving, and I made a change to the pathways so that it would correct itself. Another time, I saw something in someone's brain, and made moves to work there. I had one recently where someone requested help for a little girl that had been found on the ground with no memory of what happened. When I asked what the cause was, the only word that popped into my head was 'seizure'. Now, I realistically don't know if I came up with that word because my guides supplied it, or because I simply had been reading Acaysha's book. (Acaysha suffered from seizures most of her life, so the book covered this a bit.) At any rate, I sent the information back to Dee (who sent forwarded it to me) and asked her to send it back to the original requester.

All this has been leading up to my getting an e-mail from Acaysha today that asked for my help in healing a friend of hers. She told me that I had worked distantly on her before, and that the friend was specifically requesting me. That one surprised me. Actually, I think shocked is a better term. I do distant healing all the time. I feel I am really doing something, I really don't know if I am having any effect. I never get any feedback. This time was different. I remembered working on Acaysha's friend, but I never knew if I did any good or not.

Well, apparently I did. In fact, it must have made such a difference that she had specifically asked Acaysha to contact me. Ooook. Wow. Neat.

What she was asking was healing for herself and two others that were close to her. I did the same thing I had done before. I reached out, and sent healing energy to each one, trying to work with each problem that I sensed. I asked Acaysha to let me know how they were doing when she heard back.

I hope I find out.
