I did an outcall massage today up at Amelia Island. For those not in this area, Amelia Island is a very nice vacation place for those that have money. To say the least, my appointment was at the Ritz Carlton hotel.

The place was very pretty, very rich looking. I was a little surprised that the rooms weren't any bigger, but the bathroom was laid out very neatly. The view out the window was spectacular. They had people opening the doors as I walked in, taking your car and parking it. The lady at the concierge desk was very nice and helpful.

The person I was to meet was Chuck Yeager. This appointment had been set up by e-mail, so I didn't know if this was the Chuck Yeager that was known as the fastest man alive (he was the first to fly faster than sound back in the 50's) or just someone else with the name. I waited in the lobby wondering if the person I would be meeting was 80+ years old or not. As it turned out, he was not, so I didn't have to worry about asking for his autograph for the numerous people that had asked me for it.

I did a nice hour of massage with some Reiki thrown in. He told me that if he lived in the area he'd hire me full time. He wanted to schedule a couple more sessions over the next few nights that he was here, but I had already scheduled a Reiki 1 class over the same period. It is a shame that I missed out coming back, but it is a 45 (or more) minute drive to the hotel from home. If I make $50 for each massage over two nights, I make the same amount of money from a Reiki class, and I save a couple hours of driving time.

But it was still a good night, and I learned a bit about doing outcalls to hotels. This is something I may need to look into in the near future.
