Today was a very interesting day. I did two healings in Lake City on my way back from Gainesville.

I had gotten a call last week about doing massage or Reiki on a lady in Lake City. She had been concerned about driving to Jacksonville as her problem is in her neck, and she is under a lot of medication because of it. When she heard I was going to be in Gainesville, she asked if she could come there, or I could stop by.

What she described was a problem in her neck that causes problems all through her body. Her neck gets stiff, and then her hands are sore to the point that she can't write. Her legs hurt so she has trouble walking. The doctors put her on pain medication, and she wants a cure instead of a cover up.

Based on that, I was initially uncertain about doing massage, and suggested Reiki instead. She had not heard of this, and was willing to try anything.

Upon arriving, I had her stand a few feet from me while I closed my eyes and scanned her. The first thing I saw was her spine, and the way it curved sideways. I asked if the doctor had ever talked about scoliosis (a curvature of the spine), but he had not. (Now, I had never seen something in such detail as this before. It was almost like seeing a picture. I walked around behind her, and traced her spine with my hand. It curved just as I had seen. Wow. I saw some other places, but many were referral form the source, her neck.

I had her get on the table, did my prep work, and started Reiki. She pulled a ton of energy, and I mean a ton, or maybe I mean two, or several. I worked on her for an hour. This is unusual. The last time I worked on anyone that long was when I worked on Tom, who had cancer.

At one point, her neck started getting stiff, and I reached underneath and did some massage. As I was working I felt that massage could help her too, and I did a few minutes when the Reiki session was done. She said she felt much better afterwards. I hope so. The key now is to see how long it lasts.

Next I worked on her mother, who seemed to relax greatly. I worked about 40 minutes on her (which is turning out to be the standard). She said she felt much better afterwards.

My client said she wished I lived closer, but it is far for her to drive to Jacksonville the way she is. I told her that I would gladly come to Lake City for three or four customers. She said she could get that easily. I gave her a bunch of flyers and business cards. I asked her to call me and let me know how she is doing. I hope she does. I'd like to see how long this lasts her.

On another note, I talked with Dee this evening. She was telling that one of the ladies that took the workshop yesterday came to church this morning. She was telling everyone how wonderful the workshop was. Cool.

Well, I need to get certificates done, so I can mail them out. I felt it appropriate to do this as Kay used to do similar things. Besides, notification of achievement is important. When my wife told me I was doing a lot more than anyone else would, I thought "Good. I want to. "

So, all in all, it was a very good weekend. It could have been better monetarily as my expenses ate up a good chunk of my profit. (What I got paid for the Reiki sessions today, paid for my hotel stay.) But, even with that, it was a very good start. It has me psyched. It is going to work. I know it.
