Reiki classes. All of a sudden, I have potential students appearing out of nowhere.
A couple months ago, I sent out post cards to massage therapists offering Reiki for continuing education credits (CEUs). I had three responses. Only one of them took a class. For a massage therapist to get all their CEUs, they have to take all three Reiki courses. The one LMT (licensed massage therapist) that took one class ended up having to help his parents who are in poor health. This is keeping him down south for a while.
Where as I would hope that these post cards would lead to teaching three classes to everyone that was interested, that is not becoming the case. So far, I have sent out 400 post cards.
Now, suddenly, I am getting calls for classes. Only one of them has come from the post cards. The others have been the website or yellow pages. Some of these are LMTs and others are students that are interested. This is cool. I enjoy teaching, and love introducing students to Reiki. I hope they all follow through.
