Well it happened again. Jessica took another Reiki course.

Since it had been 21 days since her last class (some instructors demand a 21 day clearing period between levels or Reiki, some more), Jessica took Reiki 2. Again, she was amazed at the energies and what they did.

Now, as I continue to say, all teachers teach different information in their classes. The levels really don’t mean anything, but there are some things that seem to be universal, at least somewhat. Reiki 1 is healing oneself, and sometimes healing others. Reiki 2 is usually considered to be distance work, but that is not always the case.

In this case, Jessica’s teacher introduced the distance symbol, but didn’t really go into healing someone at a distance. She did show its use for a lot of things, but not really that. Jessica was going to ask about healing someone at a distance, but she got the feeling that her teacher does not really do this (or not often). Something in the back of her mind said “I’ll ask Brian later.”

But one concept that she did teach was interesting. She was using the distance symbol to bridge the gap between blocked chakras. This is something I would have never thought of, but makes perfect sense. (I wouldn’t have thought of it because I work on other levels rather than just Reiki.) But here, when there are blocked chakras, and energy can’t pass from one to the next, she was putting the distance symbol there to make a connection and jump the block. That is a very intriguing concept. It is something I’ll have to put in the back of my mind to share with others. I probably won’t use it as I use advanced energy techniques to remove blocks. This was something I was shown before I started learning Reiki.

Now, this concept of bridging the gap has many other possible applications than just jumping chakras. It could be used anywhere that one wants to channel Reiki to that it can’t (for whatever reason) get there. This is definitely something to give some thought to.

This is why I like seeing what other people do. Sometimes I find I know more than they do, and that they learn from me. Other times, I find something I don’t know that has lots of applications to it. Of course, this is how things are supposed to work, right?
