Well, I did an interesting thing last night, prompted by a friend’s e-mail. I e-mailed several people to get them to be a (sort of) storm steering committee.

A friend down in Vero Beach asked me to pray for her and the folks around there as hurricane Frances is now heading directly there. The storm is a category 4 and is growing in strength. This made me think. It was when another friend asked for help with Charley that I started doing something, and that brought in a few others to add strength. This e-mail I got has pushed me to think even farther.

I came to the conclusion that we need to have a regular group of talented people that can be contacted when major storms are threatening. I’m not just talking about here on the east coast, but the west as well. At least that should do for starters.

I selected several people off of my mailing list whom I know are all very talented healers. What I felt needed to happen was for anyone to have a chance to move a storm of this magnitude, we needed to have a coordinated effort, a plan. If we all worked on the storm, but tried different things, we could be working against each other. In the e-mail that I sent out, I outlined a plan for Frances to turn as it approached the Florida coast, and then stay out to sea and move up the east coast without touching land.

What I initially asked people to do was to start sending out their energies to nudge the storm north. I felt that as it got closer to the coast and we had a good idea what track it was on, we could start creating barriers (like was done at Tampa) so that the storm would do a massive turn north. I hope to get it in range of the pyramid near St. Augustine, which will keep it off of land. Then I figured we’d need another barrier to kick it back to the east and keep it away from the Carolinas.

As I write this, I see that the storm has already been ‘nudged’ northward to the point that it is predicted to hit right here in Jacksonville. Hmmm, I think everyone did real well at this point. Now we need to turn it back east as it moves in so it will not make landfall (otherwise I will have to stop writing and start packing).

I really feel this idea was good, and although this was not something I was really looking to do, I feel it is something I should. To paraphrase what was told to Peter Parker, ‘with awesome power comes awesome responsibility’. The group that I e-mailed has awesome power when they put it all together. If I need to be a focal point to bring them together, I will.

Maybe it’s time to start thinking globally instead of locally. I have been told that this is a part of growth. Maybe it is time to grow a bit.
