I have a friend in Ft. Lauderdale that I have never met, but talked with frequently. She is very sensitive and very powerful as far as energy goes. I have taught her a few things over the phone and internet. During one of these conversations, I told her about Reiki. Well, today, she took a Reiki 1 class, and was very impressed.

I am a little disappointed as I wanted to be the one to teach her, but I can’t argue with the way it came about. Jessica had just moved from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale, and found this metaphysical place around the corner. She went in, and found the place to be absolutely inviting and calming. She met with the owner, who is the teacher, and felt so comfortable with her. When these types of things happen, one knows that it has happened for a reason. If we can not ignore it, then we have found a growth point in our path.

Yesterday, she was concerned about being able to feel the Reiki energies. I kept telling her that she needn’t worry about it as I knew she would. (She is so sensitive that she feels me when I do any work on her, even from 300 miles away.)

She loved the class, and enjoyed the attunements. (This is done differently than I do them. It seems there are many ways to do an attunement, and no one right way.) She was able to feel the energies and had to ground a bit because she felt like she was starting to float away.

As all students, Jessica loved what she did in class, but wondered if she could do it in the real world. That evening, she had dinner with her folks. Because she had taken the class, a couple of them told her of problems they were having, and asked her to work on them. She did so, and took away the pain they were feeling. Each one told her how good it felt as she was working on them.

I think now she is convinced.
