I had an unusual confirmation today. It’s nice to get confirmations. They happen so infrequently.
When we do energy work, we tend to get feedback very infrequently, especially with distance work. I used to always be looking for feedback to see that what work I had done, actually had any effect. The trick with that is to not look for feedback and trust yourself to know you did something. But that confidence comes with time.
But it is nice to get feedback in other areas too, especially in the decisions one makes. It’s nice to get some type of response that shows that you made the right decision. Well, today, I got just that.
A lady was talking to someone from Turkey, and in the conversation, she learned about Reiki. Well, she went on the internet and did some research. She decided that she wanted to get a session or so, and maybe take classes. Now, this is where most people start searching on Reiki and their local area. She didn’t. She went and called directory assistance. The operator found only one listing with the word ‘Reiki’ in it... Caring Palms Massage and Reiki.
I remember when I started Caring Palms, the day after I passed the massage boards. I decided to divide the company into two sections, Caring Palms Massage and Caring Palms Reiki. This move was out of fear, fear that I would lose massage business because some unenlightened people saw the word ‘Reiki’. Down here in the south, that is too often the case. Last fall, however, I changed my mind. I decided to do away with all fear and combine both sides of the business into one. Everywhere I put the company name, I put Caring Palms Massage and Reiki, including the sign outside my studio. Today’s phone call told me that this was the right decision.
Like I said, it’s nice to get confirmations.
