About a week ago, I mentioned a friend that had been attacked, and how I talked with her into the wee hours of the morning. One thing I didn’t mention was that when I was with her some time ago, I did massage on her.

We were talking a bit, and she mentioned that her back was bothering her, and then asked if I would do some massage. Now, I knew a little of her history, at least to the point of knowing that she had been attacked, but not any of the details. I stepped out of the room while she undressed and got on the table.

When I came back, I just did a normal massage session. I started by putting my hands on her back while still covered by the sheet and doing some light touch movements. After that, I did the rest my normal routine, giving her whatever special attention she needed for her problems. She enjoyed it, which made me glad.

One thing that she did admit later was that she had obvious concerns, at least obvious for a person in her position. She said that she had been nervous, hoping that everything would turn out all right. I hadn’t known she had been going through that much. I asked her at what point in the massage she felt that things would be fine. She told me she knew things would be fine when I first put my hand on her back. Wow.

I always say that one brings with them the intent and energies to do what they want to do. I didn’t treat her any different then I would have any other client. I just did what I intended to do, heal. (More on that tomorrow.)
