The other day, I had been talking to my landlord's assistant, when she told me she was having neck problems. My first words, of course, were "get on the table".

I spent about five minutes doing many of the Lomi stretching moves on her neck and shoulders and back until she wasn't feeling any pain. She was very surprised that these moves could take away her hurt so quickly. She offered to pay me for my time, but I just wrote it off as a demonstration. The problem she had been having stemmed from a herniated disk which was not yet in the acute stage (not full-blown). The cold weather we've been having had also played a factor as it had made her muscles tight. The stretching of the muscles that the Lomi did was exactly what she needed.

The next day, she told me she got up and wasn't in any pain, which totally surprised her. She fully expected the injury to tense up again as she slept and be in pain the very next day. As it turned out, she wasn't in any pain at all. Needless to say, she was totally shocked, surprised, and pleased with the results of being on the table for five minutes.

She again offered to pay me something, but what I did was so quick and so easy, I couldn't see charging for it.

One of the things this shows, is how poor a salesman I am. The day she was hurting, she told me she should make an appointment for a session with me the next day. If I had been a great salesman. I simply would have set up the session, and let her continue to hurt until the next day. However, I simply took five minutes and fixed her problem, and didn't take any money for it.

I guess I need to work on that, sure, less care for people, and go after the money, right? Nah.
