At the very end of class today, a strange thing happened. I got a phone call that sounded like it could be something else, and turned out to be something else from what it sounded like. If you want a laugh, read more.
I answered the phone in my usual manner, "Caring Palms, this is Brian." The first thing a person on the other end asked me was, "do you do some sessions?" This totally surprised me. I drew a blank for a good three or four seconds. Now, I know I get a lot of strange phone calls, and that they are usually people looking for sex rather than massage, but this one was a new one. The last thing I expected be doing was answering the phone for a phone sex company.
I thought for a couple minutes and then told the gentleman at the other and that it's really hard to do massage over the telephone. This kind of threw him back as he didn't realize that he was calling a massage therapy company. When he explained what he was looking for, we both had a very good laugh.
He had gotten a reading from Kay a couple years ago, had been looking to get another reading. During his looking he found that she had died a while ago, and probably found that information on my web site. At any rate, he did find his way to my web site and thinking that I also did psychic readings, gave me a call. The fact that he hadn't specified that he was looking for a “psychic reading” over the phone, only a "phone session" is what totally through me. Unfortunately, the last time I heard the term phone session, it had nothing to do with psychic readings.
I have never claimed to be a psychic, although I understand that it's my psychic abilities that allow me to do most of the things I do. The last time I tried do a reading, was a good couple of years ago and only did it by getting small pieces of information from my guides and putting them together. A full psychic reading was not something I was prepared, nor probably able to do.
He asked me if there was anybody I could recommend, and the only one I can think of was Carla in St. Augustine. So I gave him her number and told him to call her, and let her know that I recommended her. I also told him to be clear when he specified that he was looking for a psychic reading. I've not heard from Carla so I don't know whether he actually called her or not. I'm thinking he thought I was some kind of total fruitcake. But then again, then he not be far from the truth. After all, look at me. I do strange things with energies. What else would you call somebody that does that?
