Well, I just finished my second Reiki 1 class in as many days. Both classes were fun and very rewarding.

Yesterday's class was with a husband and wife where the wife was suffering from a problem in her right arm. She and decided that modern medicine had done all it could and that it couldn't help her. Although not into energy work as her husband was, she did feel that this was a way that she could heal herself.

Class went very well with both of them learning the material and able to do the healings on themselves and each other. They both enjoy the class immensely.

While at a low spot before going over the final parts of the class, the wife mentioned that her arm was little bit better after receiving the Reiki session from her husband. (Remember, this is the lady I worked on for a few minutes when she signed up a couple weeks ago.) So, while I was waiting, I had her sit on the table next to me and worked on her arm. After about five minutes I stopped and let her test it out to see how she was doing. She told me that all the pain was gone and all she felt was a small twitch. I then took her arm back and continued to do more Reiki on it. After another five minutes of work, I stopped and let her test her arm again. She told me that even the twinge was gone. She was very surprised that her pain was completely gone. I think she is sure that she found the right modality to help her self heal.

Today's class had one student, a lady who with her husband had been staying in Gitanamo Bay, Cuba. She had wanted to learn Reiki, but this was an extra bonus as things were so negative where she had been staying that she looked at this class as part of a detox program.

When I started teaching the basic energy, especially the shielding part, her eyes went wide in amazement. She kept telling me, "where have you been my entire life?" It seems, and that my student is very empathic and that she has been having trouble for years keeping out negative energies. Considering where they were just stationed, it is amazing that she survived, being as open as she is. Right now, she is looking forward to practicing her shielding and protecting herself from the negativity that's out there.

She is also very thrilled with the Reiki. In fact, before they move to their new posting in Germany, they are taking a road trip to see their daughters and families. At each stop she plans on doing Reiki on each one of them. Cool.

All in all, it was a good two days of teaching, with good willing students.
