I had an awesome energy session tonight. It wasn’t meant to be an energy session, but ended up that way.

A client was bringing her 14-year old daughter in to see if doing Myofascial Release would help alleviate her migraines. If one follows all the literature, MFR could make changes to the body, which would eventually relieve the problem that is creating the headaches. And, that could realistically be the alignment of the pelvis.

I had decided to do some cranial-sacral work, and then start with the MFR. I knew one move I wanted to do, but would need to examine the alignment of the body to decide where else to start working. This all went out the window when my client came in with her daughter, and told me that she already had a migraine. (I had expected to work on her when she wasn’t having an episode, not when she had one full on.) When asked, the daughter said that on a scale of 1 to 10, this migraine was an 8. (From this point on, I’ll refer to it as 8/10.)

I immediately took her into the treatment room, had her lay down on the table, and started doing Reiki. Neither I nor the daughter could believe how hot my hands were getting. The amount of Reiki energy running through me was phenomenal. It was working.

At one point, I was sucked inside to see what was going on. I could see the migraine energy coming out form behind the eyes. I tried to stop it several times, but was unable to. Each time I tried, I ended up outside again.

Eventually, she told me that the migraine was down to 4/10, half the strength of what it started out as. I changed tactics and began pulling the energy out of her and sending it to ground. Once during this, I felt a headache coming on. I realized that I needed to firm up my method so that the migraine energy wouldn’t stay within me.

Eventually, the migraine reached 0/10. Just before it did, I felt something change. I can’t really identify it, or know what it was, but I definitely felt a change. When I did, I asked how it was and she told me it was gone. We took a short break, then I did a full Reiki session on her to replace the energy that had been drained out. After it was all done, about 90 minutes had passed. Both mother and daughter were happy and amazed.

I guess that sums up my feelings as well. I have tried to work with migraines before, either here or distant ones without much luck. I’m happy someone was watching over me, and making things happen. I do know it wasn’t me. One thing that happened was that before they got here, I was unsure about my MFR skills, so I asked for help in doing whatever was needed. Well, I got that help, and what was needed had nothing to do with MFR. I’m just grateful that it happened the way it did.
