Today was an unusually busy day. In fact, my entire day was booked. I know I keep saying that I need five sessions each week to be able to pay the bills, and that has been happening at least for the last two weeks. (A client a day keeps the bill collector away.)

This week however it came out a little bit differently. I sat around for three days twiddling my thumbs. I had one Reiki session on Thursday followed by a Reiki session and two massage sessions scheduled for today. On the way into the studio, I got a phone call which turned into a third massage session filling up my entire day.

I spent a bit of extra time with the first session today as it was a Reiki session for a college-age girl and had been booked by her mother. Her mother thought that this might help certain emotional problems or physical problems which the daughter had yet to deal with. So because the mother was the one who is knowledgeable on what Reiki was (and she had been to my web site) the daughter didn’t know too much and was looking for explanations. It was a good session, and when we were done she felt a whole lot better. She’s heading back to college tomorrow so I told her to go to my web site and see if she could find a practitioner in the area that her school is in.

The next session was a massage session and had been scheduled while I was driving into the studio. While working on her, I kept running into a lot of tender places where I couldn’t put much pressure at all. In fact it seemed like the entire session she was jumping because I was pushing too hard. She did have one spot the needed to be worked out, and that was her upper right thigh. She had been having trouble walking on it since participating in a local running event here the previous weekend. She kept telling me to work deeper into the thigh. She needed really deep work there, but it hurt to do so. I finally reached a point where I told her she was just going to have to grit her teeth and hold on until I could work it out. She did, and after a few moments she wasn’t feeling any pain.

The funny thing was, I felt that I had done what I could, but felt that I had hurt her too many times. I figured she was having a bad session and would probably never be back. When she came out of the treatment room, there were two ladies in the waiting area, which were my next two appointments. They asked how her session had been, and she told them that it was absolutely wonderful. She promised me that she would be back. Neat.

The next two sessions had been scheduled during the presentation at the Avenues Mall. They both loved their massages and gave me a good tip.

What was even funnier about the day was that I was so busy I did not have a chance to eat lunch. Considering I hadn’t had any breakfast, that is a long time into the day with to go without eating. The interesting thing is that I was never hungry. Doing the work, and keeping my vibration high, had compensated for my body’s need for food. Gee, I wish I could do this all the time.

Basically it was very good day, and I am hoping to have more like this as time goes on. These are the type of days I need to actually start making some type of a profit to be able to stop worrying about my bills. It would be really neat to be this busy every day. When this happens I come off the day feeling like I really did something to make a difference. The only downside is that once I leave the studio, and I don’t need to keep my energy levels that high, I tend to crash rather quickly. These are the days when I could just go home and do right to bed. However, I’ll take a busy day over a slow day anytime.
