Today, I took part in a job fair at Remington College, a technical institution in Jacksonville. Since I am actually looking for someone, this seemed like a good thing to do.

The day was long and slow. I took with me the three-sided sign that I used at the show in February. One of the heads of the school walked by and was looking at it. He told me that it was very impressive. Cool.

I only talked with about 10 of the 60+ massage students there, which was a little disappointing, but I did make a lot of good contacts. Since there was a four hour lull while classes were going on, I talked with staff and other fair participants that came by. I actually started working people. (I wish I had thought to bring a massage chair with me.)

As it was, I sat people down in the chair I had, and worked their shoulder and upper back. I did some arm stretching and a tiny bit of energy. Everyone I worked on didn’t want to get up. When they did, they all said they felt lighter. Cool.

I did have a nice talk with one of the teachers there. She wants me to come back some time and give a talk on Reiki to their Allied Modalities class (much like I did at Sanford Brown College). I told them to call me when they had a date set up. I would gladly tell their students about the wonders of Reiki. Then maybe some day when the students become massage therapists, and want continuing education, they might come take some Reiki classes.
