I did a couples massage today, and it was very, very neat.

Now, first you might ask how I could do a couples massage when I’m only one person. (A couples massage is where a couple gets worked on at the same time in the same room by two different people.) I had a lady come to interview with me about a month ago. Although she decided that she wanted to follow a different path, she was still more than willing to do trades and get together if I needed someone.

I called her and found out that she was available. So I called the shop up the street to ask what they would charge for a 90-minute outcall. Their price is $150. So I then called the client back and told her that we could see them and that it would be $135 each person. She was fine with this and we set up the time for 10:00 this morning.

We arrived at the beachfront condo a few minutes early. The clients had moved all of the patio furniture to one side of the third floor balcony. We set our tables up, and did the massages out there.

It was a little cool (mid 60’s), but it was really nice. We weren’t more than 50 yards from the ocean, and the waves were just rolling in. the seagulls were making noise, and there weren’t a lot of people out there making noise. The sounds and energies from it were wonderful. (We actually had to wear sunglasses as it was bright and sunny.)

I was a little concerned because the client had asked for deep tissue and NMT (Neuromuscular Therapy) and trigger point work. My partner for the day does NMT and trigger point work (and is very good at it), while I don’t. I just do what I feel needs to be done. I was pleased when the person I was working on told me that this was the best massage she had had in two years. Cool.

It was a very neat experience.
