I have been reading a book that I am finding very interesting. It’s called “Ask And It Is Given “ and tells how to match vibrations with what you want.

Since we are truly energy, we all have a vibration. Everything about us has vibrations or what one might call vibratory resonances. Every thought we have sets up a vibration. To get the things we want, we need to match vibrations with having it. I know that sounds strange, but it is not.

Let’s say that you are unhappy with your current job, and you would really like a better one. Well, to get this better job, you have to visualize yourself in a new job. This creates a vibration. The more you visualize yourself in a new job, the closer it gets. When the vibration you set up matches what you want, it happens.

The problem is that we sabotage what ourselves. We want a new job, and set out that vibration, but then we change those vibrations with negative thoughts. Every time something happens at the current job we exclaim how much this job sucks. When that happens, we simply reinforce the current situation of being stuck in this job, and how bad it is.

The thing that we have to do is keep focused on what we want and bringing that to us rather than what is currently wrong. I’m not saying it is easy. I’m just saying that this is what we need to do.

And it isn’t any easier for me than it is for anyone else. I’m a worrier. I got that form my mother. Also being a computer programmer hasn’t helped that any. With programming, one needs to write a program to do something, and in that prepare for things going wrong. For example if I were writing a program that calculates the costs of a mortgage, I would have to be prepared to deal with bad information being entered. One writes certain routines into a program to tell the user that the information entered is incorrect. This is called planning for every possible problem. Unfortunately it also leads to worrying.

With energy and vibrations, that sets up the possibilities for things going wrong just by putting that vibration out there.

I have always said that we tend to draw to us what we fear. What we need to do is not fear, and draw to us what we want.
