I taught Reiki 1 today to two students. One of them had had the class previously by another teacher a long time ago. The other was new to it, although she seems to be doing it already. And another thing, she is a very open empath.
My student, the empath, was telling me what she has done. I closed my eyes and looked at her and she was shocked. She could feel my energies scanning her thoroughly. In fact, she could feel everything I did energetically.
Because of all this, class was an experience. I had to come up with things that would actually help her close down a little. I mean, she was very talented, and could do an awful lot without any training whatsoever.
The other student wanted so much to get into the ethereal. She had lots of books she had been reading. When she saw all the things that I teach, she was thrilled. It was all very neat.
But there was one particular thing that happened during lunch that surprised me. The empath had told me that she had been seeing this spirit since she had met me. She described the spirit as female with a long white robe with dark red striping and wide sleeves (basically your traditional ritual robe). She asked if I knew of this person as one of my guides. I had not. Speculation went on for a bit until I just opened myself up and saw this spirit.
I got the impression that my student was about to come into some changes in her life. This may possibly be because she is taking my class. I felt that the spirit was here to guide her through these changes. The spirit appeared when she met me, so I figure that this was the first step in the changes.
My other student asked about a guide she had seen. I suddenly saw her guide as well. I asked what he was here for and could see him holding his finger out to me wagging it as if I was not supposed to be asking. I told my student that it was not for me to find out, but for her to do so. The student that was the empath said that she got the same impression. Cool.
That one certainly surprised me. I did not expect to be opening to spirit in this means nor did I expect to be dong any type of mediumship (much less did I expect it to come that easily). Wow.
It was a good class.
