It started out to be a strange class tonight, teaching-wise that is. One of the teachers was supposed to be out. The other called in sick. That left me to teach a combination of three classes.

I knew that I might be teaching one of the advanced classes as their teacher was not going to be there. They were in the mod that deals with energy. I figured that I could either talk about polarity, giving some examples and class participation, or I could do meditation. Since meditation was on in their program, and they had not gotten to it yet, I thought this might be perfect.

My boss was looking to possible teach my class as he could teach basics, but was not too familiar or comfortable with energy work. Having an energy wizard working there made that possible. But when the other teacher called in sick, he decided to combine all the classes, have me teach something, and then let them go after they had been there a couple of hours (it is required that they be there for two hours to get credit for the evening).

I thought about it for a couple of minutes and decided to teach meditation. I go them all set in places where they would be comfortable. I explained what it was all about and what could be done with it. Then I took them into a sanctuary meditation. (A sanctuary meditation is where one goes into them self and finds a place they can call sanctuary. It usually contains what they need. It is either calming, or energizing, or whatever. It is what is created for them by their subconscious which knows what they need at that time.)

I took them down in and then set out to wait the 15 minutes that I had planned on giving them. I walked around the room and found all of them calm, and most of them seeming to be in a meditative state. A couple were snoring, but that was obviously what they needed. (Hmm, I can’t recall any time previously that this group had been this quiet. J)

I was getting ready to sit down and wait, then decided to try something else. I went to one spot in the room and looked at one of the students. I opened myself up to the energies and got an image of them at some place. I got the feeling of where they were and what they were doing.

Now, I have gone into someone else’s meditation before, but it was a long time ago. I had been talking a friend into a meditation. I opened myself up and pushed a pathway into her vision. It was quite an effort. Of course, it was a dozen years ago, and I was starting out with energies. I remember seeing her in a rocky environment. She confirmed all that I had seen afterward.

This time though, it was much easier to get a fair impression of what was going on. (Of course I have grown a bit in the last 12 years.) I let that one go, and then stepped to the next one to see what was going on in their meditation. This one came up as well. Slowly, one by one, I tapped into each ones meditation and got a fair impression of where they were and what they were doing.

After I brought them out, I told them what I had seen and asked them what they experienced. It was cool.

After that, and still having some time left, I took them through a key words meditation where they could set words to use to calm themselves down or do whatever. It also went well.

After that, I let them go and got to go home early. It was a nice night.
