I taught Reiki 1 today.  It was an interesting group, and one of the comments was very interesting.

One of my students had taken Reiki 1 and 2 before, and had actually been looking for a Reiki 3 class.  Since I had not taught her, I was not comfortable taking her to the masters level.  (I do this.  If I lose a student, then I do.  At least I know that the students that do go through all my classes have a good learning experience, and know what they are doing.)

She decided to take the level one class that I was teaching today to see what I do.  I noticed that she was furiously taking notes during most of the class.

About mid way through the class, after she had been on the receiving end of her ‘trade’, I asked her how it compared to what she had seen before.  She said that it didn’t compare at all.  She told me that I was teaching her so much that she had never seen before that it was amazing.  She loved the hands on practices, which she did not get with her previous classes.  She told me that the points I made were wonderful, as no one ever made those points before.

Wow.  What the hell are other people out there teaching?  Very, very scary.
