Last week, I did Reiki on a client that kept coming up with new problems as I treated her.  This week I started with MFR, and the same thing ensued.

A lot of what she was suffering from looked like textbook conditions that could be made better with Myofascial Release (MFR).  MFR believes that if a body is in alignment, it tends to stay healthy.  My client has massive alignment problems including a diagnosis of Myofascial Pain Syndrome.  Hmmm, Myofascial Pain Syndrome… the connective tissue in their body (myofascial) hurts (pain), and they don’t have a clue what is causing it (syndrome).  (At least that is what I’ve come to believe syndrome means in medical terminology.)

Now, in an MFR session, the therapist is supposed to listen to the body and be led to the areas that need work.  In this case, that was an understatement.  I changed what I was doing more times than I could count.  I even changed modalities going from MFR to massage to Lomi Lomi to Reiki or other energy work.

I get the feeling that when this person comes in, I will always need to be completely open to possibilities.  This seems to be the norm for her, so I expect to be intuiting a lot.
