I had two phone calls today. One was from the person that referred the 81 year-old lady to me, and the other was from the lady herself.
The person that referred her told me that she had called to thank her for letting her know about me. She had told this person that this was the first time she has been pain free in (I really think she said) 30 years. All I did was Reiki and a tiny bit of light compression and press on two trigger points.
Later in the day, the 81 year-old called to talk to me. She relayed the same information. She told me that she felt so at peace while she was getting worked on that if she could have chosen any moment to die, it would have been at that moment because it gave her such peace. I told her that I was really glad she did not. It really is bad for business to have clients dying on your table. (This is not quite like the joke about the mortician where people are dying to see him.)
While we were talking, she told me about her cat, Angel. The cat is 22 years old (a year older than my cat was when she passed) and had not been well. The cat was not eating, yet she didn’t get the feeling that the cat was ready to go. She wanted to know if I work on animals. I told her that I have worked on my pets, but I have not so in the office or as a house call.
We set up for her to come in after my Reiki 2 class tomorrow. We’ll see what happens.
