This was an interesting day. I taught Reiki 2, and then worked on a cat (yes, that’s correct, as in feline).

I had four people in for Reiki 2. Two of these were from the class a couple weeks ago. One was from a class a month ago, and the other was from a few months ago. It was a great mix of people with really good energies.

As the class ended, my client showed up with her cat. I had hoped that my students would hang around and we could all beam Reiki to the cat, but they all bailed on me. Oh well.

Angel turned out to be a very sweet kitty. She was very old for a cat. Most cats live around 15 to 17 years. My first cat lived to be 21. I was told that she hung around for me, and I believe it. my client was told by the person that referred her that when she had the cat put down, she needed to tell her it was ok to go (which is something I told Mandy when I had that done).

My client was hoping that it would either help Angel, or if she felt it was time to go, she would feel comfortable doing it in the session (not that I want anyone dying in my shop). I explained that she would use the energy as she saw fit, and leave when she wanted to.

Angel was comfortable enough that she stayed on the table and let me put my hands on her and give her Reiki. She pulled a good deal of energy for about 15 to 20 minutes, then stopped. At this point I told my client that I could do no more, and that it was up to the cat. She then pulled out her credit card to pay for the session. I told her there was no charge for it. (I couldn’t see charging her for a full session, and all I did was channel energy for a few minutes, so I didn’t charge her for my time. After all, I was already at the shop. It wasn’t like I came in just for her.)  She told me I was building up good Karma. I hope so. The way things seem to be going I think I am going to need it.
