What is the line... The meek shall inherit the earth. The first question is... why? The second is... who would want the place after the battle?
The meek are the people that just want to do their work and get along with people. They have been called pacifists, geeks, nerds, and a dozen other labels. These are the people that get picked on by bullies, shoved in lockers by football players, pushed back by those that are more aggressive.
The problem is that these are the people that will be left when all the aggressive assholes kill each other. They will be the ones promoting love, and care for others. They will be the ones that do the right thing because it is the right thing, not because it is advantageous or will push them further up the food chain. These people are the ones that get trampled and screwed over by people that lie and cheat and steal. These are the innocents that laws are made to protect, but never get protected.
But eventually, all the aggressive people will fight and have their wars because of their unrelenting greed. They will eventually destroy themselves.
But what about the mess they leave behind? Will even the meek want it?
