I did a Reiki demonstration for a reporter for some newsletter that is produced in Flaggler county (just south of here between St. Augustine and Daytona). It turned out to be very interesting.

One of my clients and students stayed after her massage session to be my body to work on. Actually, she turned out to be the perfect person to have as she is a nurse. She was able to answer questions asked and be very scientific about it.

She told how she had received Reiki from an acupuncturist some time back and did not think anything of it as she felt nothing. On one of her visits to be for massage, she was telling me after the session that she still had this small issue. I put my hands on her and did Reiki. When I told her what it was, she was surprised as she really felt the energy. Since then, she has had many sessions and taken the classes.

I worked on her while the reporter asked questions to both of us and her photographer took pictures. After I was done, and had answered her questions, I motioned for the reporter to get on the table. I figured that it would make sense if she experienced it as well.

She was quite hesitant to do this. She finally talked into her recorder and said that she was going to experience it as part of her investigation. It was obvious to be that she was a little nervous and unsure. I had her take a couple deep breaths to relax. I told her that the Reiki energy would not harm her.

After a minute, she relaxed, and relaxed, and relaxed. She was able to describe the feeling a bit, but she was not feeling the energies as strongly as some people. But she was relaxed and calm. Her photographer told us that this was an unusual state for her, quiet and relaxed. After the reporter, I worked on the photographer who loved the warmth and the calming.

All in all, it was a good experience for all. I hope to see the article when it comes out.
