Let It Shine!  Let It Shine!  Let It Shine!

It was our first Christmas in Florida, a place where the seasons don't act like seasons we're used to.  In the winter here, it can get cold.  It has gotten into the upper 20s on occasion.  But most of the winter is in the 50s or higher.  So, feeling a little homesick for seasonal change, we came up with this one and a couple other Christmas carols.  We sent these out with our cards that year.

To the tune of

Let It Snow

Let It Shine!  Let It Shine!  Let It Shine!

by Brian and Shirley Dean

Oh the weather outside's delightful,

And the warmth just feels so rightful,

The tropic sun is so fine.

Let it shine!  Let it shine!  Let it shine!

It doesn't show signs of stopping,

And I brought some corn for popping,

The beach fire is divine.

Let it shine!  Let it shine!  Let it shine!

When it finally becomes night,

How I hate going home from the beach,

But the sun will come back real soon,

I think that its almost in reach.

The sunlight is slowly dying,

And the night is for good-byeing,

But the weather is still so fine.

Let it shine!  Let it shine!  Let it shine!
