This was the first psychic fair that I have worked this year. What pushed me to it were several reasons. The first was that I was missed. The second was that I checked out to make sure there was a legal way I could do it. The third was that my teacher was behind it 100%.

I will stop opening my postings with 'it's been a long time since I last wrote here'. The simple fact is that it has been, and this will unfortunately continue until the end of May, when I finish school. But this sacrifice (as well as a few others) will be worth it when I can legally do massage. Also, it is worthwhile considering that I am expanding my knowledge and healing abilities.

I taught Reiki 3 today. This makes the second time in two months I have pronounced someone Reiki Master. Usually, I teach Reiki 1 a lot, and many of them go on to Reiki 2. It is not that often that someone has the time or desire to go onto Reiki 3.

I had a very interesting week in class last week, massage class that is. Well, it started in massage class Tuesday, but continued into anatomy class on Wednesday, and massage again on Thursday. So far, all my classes have been nothing but bookwork, but next Tuesday, we will take a test, then learn draping, and then begin working on each other. But, that is neither here nor there.

It is hard to comprehend what has happened in the last 24 hours. It is harder yet as a healer to sit by and know that there is nothing you can immediately do to help the people involved in the tragedy that occurred. It is harder still as an empath to deal with the flood of emotions happening around you, the pain, the sadness, the fear. Even the best shields can’t lock out enough.

I had said in the last entry that I hadn't posted for a while. Well, it will probably be longer before I make more entries. In two days, I start massage school. I will be working full time in the days and going to school four nights a week for five hours a night. If I thought I was stressed before, well... slowly, take a deep breath... let it out.

A few things have been going on that I should let everyone know. About a year ago, I met someone online through the ReikiLinks.com (now ReikiAloha.com) website. She was having a problem with bad memories ever since having a Reiki session. As it turned out, she had gone through some really horrible times growing up. To deal with her past, she suppressed all the memories, walled them off. Three things we know... 1) After a period of time, walls begin to crumble and eventually collapse, 2) Reiki works on the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels, 3) Reiki goes where it needs to. In the healing session she had received, the Reiki energy saw emotional problems, and went to work on them. This is when the walls started coming down.

It has been a while since I posted out here. That’s quite a change from the time I was posting almost every day. Well, several things have caused that including working way too much as well as having several things going on (none of them in the least bit ethereal). One thing I have been doing that is ethereal is teaching. Since the last entry, I have taught Reiki 1 twice, and Reiki 2. And I am scheduled to teach Reiki 3 in a few weeks.

I meant to post this before I left, but too many things got hold of my time, and wouldn't give it back. I am sitting on a plane headed toward Las Vegas, where we are spending part of our vacation. The other part will be spent in Sedona, Arizona, a place where all types of alternative healing thrives due to the special energies around the place.

What is it about Reiki and mysticism? I guess it is time to sound off again (and I say that like it usually isn't), but I just get tired of some of the things I hear people telling others about Reiki. I guess it comes down to there being no consistency in what is taught from one instructor to another.

I taught Reiki 1 the other night. My student came from Tucson, Arizona. Keenya was in town to see her parents, and take more classes on her nursing certification. As it turned out, she is a very strong empath.

Had our next to last psychic fair today. It was a medium busy day, with plenty of customers, but not enough workers. The first customer arrived 20 minutes before we were scheduled to open, and it was just Kay and myself at that time.

Last week, I taught Reiki 1 and 2. My Reiki 1 student came from Pennsylvania by way of the Bahamas. And yes, this is pretty out of the way. Josef is a very pleasant elderly gentleman who has been doing healing for a long time, although he has had no real training in it.

In the April 25th posting, I talked about how as healers, we tend to do whatever we can to heal others, but forget about the most basic things of energy healing when it comes to taking care of ourselves. I know that if I say, bash my knee into something, the first thing I usually think of is not Reiki. It is more usually OUCH, along with a few choice expletives.

One of the first things we learn in Reiki training is to give ourselves a healing. I know, healer, heal thyself. How many of us really do it? I don’t mean to ask how many of us benefit from channeling Reiki, but how many of us really take the time to do healings on ourselves? I don’t see too many hands out there.

We had a pretty good fair today although it started slow. Last month , we had very few workers (one healer, who also doubled as the check-in person, Kay, and me) and tons of customers. This month, we had lots of help, but no customers. A few came in throughout the morning, but when the afternoon came, so did the people.

Some thoughts on attunements. (And no, this is not an April Fools joke.) I had seen a posting on the web about giving a student their attunement at the beginning of class, before they are taught anything. I think the thought line is that they are giving the student the ability to do Reiki by giving the attunement.

Taught Reiki 1 today. I had received an e-mail inquiring about classes last weekend, that had been sent about 30 minutes before I had turned on my computer. Since there was a phone number, I called the person that sent it. I really surprised the send as he thought a half hour was great response time on an e-mail.

Each week I take a psychic development class from my Reiki teacher, Kaimora, who is a local Psychic in St. Augustine. Along with what she taught this week, she told us the story of the moose.

Worked at a psychic fair today. The place was hopping. Everyone was doing something. My teacher was doing psychic readings, and was constantly busy from 10:30 right up until 5:00. Everyone I talked to was saying how "right on" she was.

We had the psychic fair in St. Augustine today. It is not really a fair where you have many psychics (as the county has a law stating that psychics can not work within a mile of each other), but one where additional services are offered.
